Allan Kinsley Green

Allan Green was born in 1944 in Rochester, NY, as one of 4 siblings in close family that loved reading, music, working together, and the outdoors. He met his wife, Christine, on their first day at the University of Rochester, and their shared love of music and adventure led to a 60+ year marriage. Together, they raised a diverse family of 11 children while building a life centered on service, community, and faith. Allan’s working career included 30 years in information technology at IBM; after retirement he started his own consulting company, and in 2005 he joined Chris in operating Woodcrest Farm, their heritage organic farm, which they passed to their son and his wife in 2020.

Now in his 80s, Allan lives with Chris at Green Acres, a new farm where they raise meat goats and cultivate a hazelnut orchard. A seasoned adventurer, Allan has hiked thousands of miles on trails worldwide. He and Chris have camped and traveled extensively, including to East Africa on a mission trip to teach goat husbandry. Through it all, Allan’s enduring love for Chris, his family, and the simple joys of life are a testament to a life of faith in the power of love to experience Heaven now.
